Bazooka MAA1500 500-Watt Marine Mono Amplifier Specifications
Power your marine subwoofer with the MAA1500 from Bazooka. No strangers to the lower frequencies, Bazooka have created an efficient and powerful mono amp for marine applications, delivering a clean 500 watts at 2 ohms. With a built-in low-pass filter, subsonic filter, and phase switch, it's ready to adjust to any system. Solid protection circuitry and water-resistant design back it all up.
Adjustable Input Sensitivity
Fine-tune the input level to match your source and the power amplifier, to get a signal with the least possible distortion.
Line Out
One set of full range line outputs have been provided for convenient connection to additional amplifiers in the system.
Built-in Low-Pass Filter
The MAA1500 boasts a crossover features a variable frequency selection low-pass filter, from 50Hz to 250Hz, to match your requirements.
Bass Boost
For added low frequency performance the amplifiers are equipped with a switchable boost of 6 or 12dB @ 45Hz.
Subsonic Filter
The MAA1500 features a subsonic filter, for filtering out unwanted subsonic bass frequencies below the audible range of the subwoofer. This helps improve the amplifier's overall performance, since power is not wasted reproducing frequencies beyond the speakers' normal operating range. This feature works in conjunction with the Low-pass crossover to provide band-pass filtering for your subwoofer.
Phase Adjustment
A phase switch allows for 0 or 180 degree phase adjustment for the woofers. In most systems, this phase adjustment should be set at 0 degrees. The 180-degree setting is only needed if the subwoofers are out of phase with the satellite speakers in the boat.
Amplifier Protection
The MAA1500 features multiple protection circuits: a fuse for short circuits or excessive current, DC protection (the amp shuts down if direct current is detected), protection against shorts, and thermal protection, which is activated if the amplifier is excessively hot. It will turn back on once it gets to a safe operating temperature.
Remote Turn-on
Set this up to automatically turn on the amplifier when connected to the head unit's remote output. The amplifier will turn on and off with the head unit to save current consumption.
